Victoria J. Fry’s practice explores the relationship between place, memory, and emotion through contemporary landscape painting. Rooted in her early experiences of the English countryside, her work draws from a space where memory and imagination blur, preserving landscapes that feel both vivid and dreamlike.

Her paintings have evolved into what she describes as emotional landscapes, shifting away from direct depictions of place toward the sensations and memories they hold. Often set at sunrise or sunset, her works capture fleeting, luminous moments where beauty and loss quietly coexist.

Through evocative titles and atmospheric compositions, Fry invites viewers to reflect on their own sense of belonging, memory, and connection, positioning the landscape as both a repository for emotion and a mirror of inner experience.
